So, I LOVE to stay busy. Although, I have three kids and a hubby who works a lot as a super talented Chef - I NEED more lol. I hate to admit, but I get bored... easily. I need to keep a full schedule and adore all types of photography. Some other photographers only do engagement and weddings or just newborns and small children or just seniors. Well, I just have not found one I do not like. :) I really like going from a newborn session to an engagement session and just every session rejuvenates me!
For example, this weekend... I traveled to Chicago for a wedding on Thursday, photographed a wedding for 9.5 hours and then left the next morning to get back to the Twin Cities (with my super talented BFF assistant - we had so much fun!!). Not too big of a deal, right??? Wrong. I came back to pack up the rest of our house on Saturday evening, had three photo sessions on Sunday morning and unpacked until 1am that evening. Then had a newborn session this Monday morning. I am exhausted, but just love it! And I had the most wonderful newborn session with a beautiful little 3 week old girl!
I wouldn't change a thing in the world right now. We moved from a smaller duplex to a beautiful farm house with old barns, old stone smoker and raspberry patch in the back. The girls have acres to play on and a huge basement to roller skate and scooter on during the winter months. We are happier than ever before :) We have amazing friends that helped us move and even my father who had bronchitis helped us move (#bestparentsintheworld) and my wonderful (and super patient mother watched the crazy beautiful girlies). Not sure what we would do without any of you!
I just want to share a few photos from my Chicago wedding because they are just the most amazing couple and also the bride is a friend from when I was teeny tiny. I had a hard time holding in the tears because I just can't believe I was able to be at the wedding, let alone photograph her big day! One of the most rewarding photoshoots I have ever been involved with!
Thanks Kate and Jay for the memories and I forsee a very long and happy future for you both! Love you!
