So, for my last post/blog today I am going to showcase two beautiful sisters I photographed a few days ago at my new farmhouse! These girls are daughters to my personal/business banker, who I adore and I was so happy she chose me to photographer them. They are sweet, beautiful and I love each of their unique personalities!
I have to say also, we LOVE our new house! Our property has a stone smoker, old rustic barns, beautiful trees, gorgeous paths and a cornfield :) I also have set up a wonderful tiny little studio in my home (which really helps me keep on track of cleaning lol) that allows me to photograph newborn to small children). I was very hesitant about the studio aspect of my business, but I LOVE it! :)
So, now to these beautiful sisters... :)

Chicago Wedding! (Twin Cities-Chicago Wedding Photographer)
So, I LOVE to stay busy. Although, I have three kids and a hubby who works a lot as a super talented Chef - I NEED more lol. I hate to admit, but I get bored... easily. I need to keep a full schedule and adore all types of photography. Some other photographers only do engagement and weddings or just newborns and small children or just seniors. Well, I just have not found one I do not like. :) I really like going from a newborn session to an engagement session and just every session rejuvenates me!
For example, this weekend... I traveled to Chicago for a wedding on Thursday, photographed a wedding for 9.5 hours and then left the next morning to get back to the Twin Cities (with my super talented BFF assistant - we had so much fun!!). Not too big of a deal, right??? Wrong. I came back to pack up the rest of our house on Saturday evening, had three photo sessions on Sunday morning and unpacked until 1am that evening. Then had a newborn session this Monday morning. I am exhausted, but just love it! And I had the most wonderful newborn session with a beautiful little 3 week old girl!
I wouldn't change a thing in the world right now. We moved from a smaller duplex to a beautiful farm house with old barns, old stone smoker and raspberry patch in the back. The girls have acres to play on and a huge basement to roller skate and scooter on during the winter months. We are happier than ever before :) We have amazing friends that helped us move and even my father who had bronchitis helped us move (#bestparentsintheworld) and my wonderful (and super patient mother watched the crazy beautiful girlies). Not sure what we would do without any of you!
I just want to share a few photos from my Chicago wedding because they are just the most amazing couple and also the bride is a friend from when I was teeny tiny. I had a hard time holding in the tears because I just can't believe I was able to be at the wedding, let alone photograph her big day! One of the most rewarding photoshoots I have ever been involved with!
Thanks Kate and Jay for the memories and I forsee a very long and happy future for you both! Love you!

Newborns!
I truly adore little newborns. If you know me personally, well, I have three girls and experience "baby fever" at least once every three months. We made the decision that our last little one (Presley, who is almost 1!) is the last one EVER. Although we love kids (especially babies!), they are expensive and three girls is enough drama for 17 lifetimes! :0
SO, it goes without saying that I LOVE newborn sessions. This is a great way for me to tame my "baby fever" and capture their sweetness and innocence. :)
Please take a look at some of the sweet little newborns I had the opportunity to photograph in the past few months... :)
Look at those lips - took us 2 hours, but he slept through everything!
Baby smiles! I love capturing those new smiles (even if it is gas... :)
Baby Toes - nuff said!
These cheesecloth wraps are awesome - find them here. Super cute stuff!
And look at this hat!
When photographing newborns I truly adore natural poses and the "less is more" approach with regards to props. And I try and keep all my colors and blankets soft, natural and earthy!
